Terms
These are the terms for having repair or service work carried out by Autos Craft LTD at our Birmingham workshop. They are written in plain language: work is agreed before it starts, quotes follow an inspection, and you pay when the work is complete.

Agreeing the work
No work starts without your agreement. When you bring your car in, we inspect the relevant system, explain what we found in plain language, and set out what we recommend. You then approve the work before we begin.
If the inspection uncovers additional work while we are carrying out the agreed job, we stop, explain what we found, and agree the extra work with you separately before continuing.
Quotes and pricing
We provide a quote after inspecting your car, because an accurate quote needs eyes on the actual fault. A price mentioned over the phone before an inspection is only a rough guide, not a fixed quote.
The quote covers the work we have agreed. If you ask us to change or add to the job, we will confirm the effect on the price before carrying on.
Payment
Payment is due when the work is complete. After the repair we test the work — a brake test, a road test or a diagnostic re-scan depending on the job — and you pay for the agreed work only.
If you are unhappy with any part of the work, tell us before you pay and we will put it right or explain why it is as it is.
Your car while it is with us
We treat your car with care while it is in the workshop and we will tell you if we notice anything else that needs attention. Anything beyond the agreed work is only ever a recommendation — it is your decision.
Please remove valuables and personal belongings from the car before your visit.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get an exact quote over the phone?
Not usually. An accurate quote needs an inspection of the actual fault, so anything we say before seeing the car is only a rough guide. Bring the car in, we will inspect it, and then give you a clear quote for the work we recommend before anything is agreed.
What happens if you find more work once you start?
We stop and tell you. If the inspection or the repair uncovers something beyond the agreed job, we explain what we found and what it involves, and we agree the extra work with you separately. Nothing additional is carried out without your approval.
When do I pay?
When the work is complete. We agree the job and the quote before starting, test the repair afterwards, and you pay for the agreed work only. If something is not right, tell us before paying and we will put it right.
